Not criticizing, but being constructive -If a team member or a colleague does something wrong don’t criticise them. Instead, explain what they have done and help them identify the error by suggesting ways that it could be improved in the future.
Pay compliments where possible -I am not talking about telling the lady in the coffee shop she has a nice bum! What I mean is if somebody does something well let them know about it. It can really transform people and help develop a positive working attitude.
More Listening, less talking. Be interested in other people. Life is full of people who want to tell their story but one of the key habits of successful people is having the ability to listen to others.
Avoid gossip. If you are diligently working towards the success of your business then realistically you will not have time for gossip anyway. Cheap talk is something that will not bring you admirers or success in the long run. Stick to being positive.
